Spotlight: Chicagoland Vampires

Chicagoland Vampires by Chloe Neill

At twenty-seven, Merit is made a vampire . . . but not just any vampire. She's become one of the most powerful vampires in the world, and she's being initiated into Chicago's controversial Cadogan House.

Added to that, she's got a sexy but pretentious Master, a she-vamp with a centuries-old chip on her shoulder, and a be
st friend who has supernatural issues of her own. What's a vamp to do?

The Chicagoland Vampires Novels are written by Chloe Neill. Chloe Neill is also the author of the Dark Elite Novels, with the first book in the series, Firespell, coming January 2010.

There are two books in the Chicagoland Vampires series so far; Some Girls Bite (April 2009) and Friday Night Bites (October 2009). The third book in the series, Twice Bitten, will be released in July 2010.

Here's what some people have said about the series: (From Chloe's website)

"The kind of sassy heroine readers love to root for . . ." - Author Tate Hallaway

"If you loved Nancy Drew, but always wished she was a sword-wielding badass, Merit is your kind of girl." - Geek Monthly

"Some Girls Bite is engaging, well-executed and populated with characters you can’t help but love. It was impossible to set down, and book two, Friday Night Bites, which is scheduled for release in October 2009, has gone right to the top of my wish list" - Kimberly Swan, Darque Reviews (March 2009) (Darque Reviews Starred Read)

"Hands down, this is one of the best urban fantasy/paranormal romance novels that I've ever read." - Undercover Book Lover

This series sounds very interesting! Merit sounds like a great and funny kick-ass heroin, and I can't wait to read these books!

Still not convinced about giving these books a try? Read this review written by Book Reviews By Jess, it might change your mind!
