Cover Combat: The Summer I Turned Pretty

In Cover Combat a Swedish cover is being compared to the US/UK cover of the same book. Today we're comparing the covers of The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han.

US cover:

Swedish covers:

Hardcover

Paperback
Which cover do you like the most?
For me, this is a US win! The Swedish hard cover is really...ugly actually. Looks like the cover to a boring, sad historical novel. The paperback cover is a big improvement, and has more of a summery feeling to it. But I love the sunlight on the US cover, plus we get to see the faces of the persons on the cover, which is always nice!
Which cover do you prefer? Leave your opinions in a comment!

Mmm, I guess the US is all right, but I really like the pink wooden chair with the seashells! Super-cute! Haven't read the book, so I don't know how relevant the cover is to the story!

Definitely US. It's brighter and has more of a summer feel to it (plus, I love how the characters look like themselves!)

I love the US cover, with the sun behind the three characters of the story. I also love the feeling that I'm getting just looking at the cover. A summery feeling and I do love the summer. :)

I think I prefer the US cover, but the Swedish paperback cover is brilliant too. It's so cute!
Thanks for commenting! My library was just selling of some of its old books: it had a little trolley. Of course, I almost emptied it. ;)

I actually really like all three covers! I love the US cover because it matches the other books in the series. I love the colors in the Swedish hardcover and I adore the paperback version. I'll stick with the Swedish paperback! =D

The Summer I Turned Pretty is a funny and youthful read. Special about The Summer I Turned Pretty is that its romance, happenings and emotions are anything but easy or plain because beside fun and frieds it also deals with very emotional and serious topics.
