Book Review: Night World No. 3

My Review: Well, what can I say? The Night World books are great, and are getting better with every volume.

I love that characters from previous Night World books are mentioned, and have supporting roles in the newer books. It makes the world Smith has created more real and believable.

L. J. Smith is a great author. She manages to write unique stories even though the concept is the same in every book. She also manages to create strong, independent and likable heroins, and hot, mysterious and swoon-worthy heroes in every book. Seriously, I fall in love with every single male character she creates - and isn't that what you want to do when you read books?

Huntress is probably my favourite story in this book, but I really love them all!

So, if you haven't read any Night World books yet, what are you waiting for? They're waaay better than the Vampire Diaries!

My thoughts:
This book was great, much better than Night World No.1! All three stories were mysterious, romantic and action-packed. This book is about 700 pages - but they flew by! I couldn't stop reading.

My favourite story of these three was The Chosen.
Since Rachel's friend and mother were killed by a vampire, Rashel has sworn to kill every vampire she discovers, and has devoted her life to tracking down her mother's killer. She has become the most feared vampire hunter among the Night Worlders. But when Rashel meets Quinn - a bad-ass vampire with a reputation to to match her own, she finds herself unable to kill him. The meeting leaves the both of them confused -and very much alive- and they discover a bond between them, that could be their undoing.

Rachel and Quinn's characters were great - they were both very stubborn and kick-ass, but at the same time very caring and tender.


L. J. Smith is a great author - even though all the Night World books have the same theme - human meets non-human and they fall in love - she manages to deliver unique and inventive storys with well-developed and colorful characters, every single time.

My Thoughts: L. J. Smith has created a whole new world with her Night World series. Even though Smith has written about vampires before (the Vampire Diaries), this world is different from that and has other laws and creatures.

I really like that there are three storys in one book, as soon as you finish one story you can start reading the next story, without any waiting!

Each of the three storys are stand-alone books, but there are some things that tie them together - which is really cool! A subsidiary character in one book can suddenly become one of the main characters in the next book, and so on. And all books have one thing in common - forbidden love between a human and a creature from the Night World.


Definitely read the Night World books if you get the chance too - you won't regret it!
