In My Mailbox . . . and then what?

Remember the In My Mailbox post I posted three weeks ago?
Since this is a vampire book blog I won't post reviews on some of the books I got, so I figured I could do a follow-up post and just write a few sentences about each book, and let you know what I thought about them!

Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen
Really good book - my sister loved this one! As usual, Sarah Dessen delivers a book with more than just romance. Her main characters are often a bit insecure, they do make mistakes, and they eventually learn from it. Of course the main character gets her happy ending - the road to get there just isn't that light and easy, it's bumpy and full of obstacles.

Coffeehouse Angel by Suzanne Selfors

Another cute, charming book. I loved the relationship between Katrina and her friends. The love interest, Malcolm, was an old-fashioned, charming but somewhat odd guy - and I didn't like him as much as I wanted too. (It can have something to do with the kilt, I just don't find boys wearing kilts that hot.)

Lipstick Jungle by Candace Bushnell
Glitz by Louise Bagshawe
How To Kill Your Husband by Kathy Lette

Still haven't had the time to read these! Saving them for a time that I don't have anything else to read!

HEX by Rhiannon Lassiter
HEX: Shadows by Rhiannon Lassiter
HEX: Ghosts by Rhiannon Lassiter

I read the first book in the HEX trilogy, but I didn't like it that much. The story wasn't that bad, but I still had to force myself to keep reading it. So needless to say, I decided not to read the sequel!

Marked: A House of Night Novel
by P. C. Cast and Kristin Cast (My Review)
Betrayed: A House of Night Novel by P. C. Cast and Kristin Cast (My Review)

I did read and review these about a month ago, click on the links to see what I thought about them!

Night World No. 1 by L. J. Smith (My Review)
Night World No. 2 by L. J. Smith (My Review)
Night World No. 3 by L. J. Smith (My Review)

Vampire Diaries: The Return: Nightfall by L. J. Smith
Have a review coming up for this book - don't miss it!

Ink Exchange by Melissa Marr
I liked Ink Exchange - but not as much as I liked Wicked Lovely! Wicked Lovely was just better in every way - the main character (the girl) was more likable in Wicked Lovely - and so was the male characters. Both books have a love triangle going on - but the guys are hotter and kinder in Wicked Lovely. (I did like Niall though - he had that whole bad-boy image going on). The story was also a bit better in Wicked Lovely. But I did enjoy this book, and I'm looking forward to reading the third book, Fragile Eternity!

Plum Spooky by Janet Evanovich
I used to love the Plum books, I read five books in a row and couldn't get enough. But now, after reading about 15 books, I'm getting tired of them. There's nothing new.
Reading about Grandma Mazur and her crazy adventures, cars blowing up, and crazy guys refusing to go to court, was fun the first times, but now . . . not so much any more.

Don't forget to come back next Sunday for a brand new In My Mailbox: October post! I've got some GREAT stuff this month!
