Top 3 of 2010: Best Female Characters

Best Female Characters of 2010:

1. Rose Hathaway - Vampire Academy
She's smart, strong, funny and kick some mayor ass! Girl power!

2. Lucy Hamilton - Hearts at Stake
Lucy is sazzy, stubborn, fun and totally unbothered with her neighbours being vampires.

3. Grace Kelly - The Alpha Bet
Gracy is a great realistic character, and best of all: she has both brains and beauty!

3 honorable mentions:

Kayla - This. a Vampire Cure for Forever: very realistic portrait of a teenage girl
Alexia Tarabotti - The Parasol Protectorate: outspoken, stubborn and brave. A controversial lady for her time.
Katniss - The Hunger Games: Cause you can't have a list of grear femala characterswithout mentioning the perhaps smartest and strongest of them all!

This is part TWO of FIVE "Top 3 of 2010" posts. The other parts are:

Lucy is one of my favorite characters in the Drake Chronicles. I really do hope we get to see more of her in the upcoming installments of the series. Katniss is absolutely awesome. Glad to see she's in your list. Fabulous list, Sara =).

Thanks, Sara! I just noticed your mention here of Kayla in This.!

BTW I've been working on a little surprise for 2011 based on something you said in the book review. I'll let you know when it's ready!

Okay, Sara, your little surprise is ready! In your review of This., you said you loved the banter between Melissa and Mitch, so I wrote in more of that throughout the book.

You said you loved Kayla's character, and I added A LOT more about her! Especially in the beginning. I added two whole chapters. Now she's cooler and more interesting than ever.

I also improved many spots all throughout, which adds even more energy to the chapters.

So thanks again for the great review and feedback! You can find it all (plus an improved book cover design and new web page design) at ThisVampire.com
