Title: Demonglass (Hex Hall #2)
Author: Rachel Hawkins
Release Date: March 1
OBS! Summary contains spoilers!
(if you haven't read Hex Hall)
Sophie Mercer thought she was a witch.
That was the whole reason she was sent to Hex Hall, a reform school for delinquent Prodigium (aka witches, shapeshifters, and fairies). But that was before she discovered the family secret, and that her hot crush, Archer Cross, is an agent for The Eye, a group bent on wiping Prodigium off the face of the earth.
Turns out, Sophie’s a demon, one of only two in the world—the other being her father. What’s worse, she has powers that threaten the lives of everyone she loves. Which is precisely why Sophie decides she must go to London for the Removal, a dangerous procedure that will destroy her powers.
But once Sophie arrives she makes a shocking discovery. Her new friends? They’re demons too. Meaning someone is raising them in secret with creepy plans to use their powers, and probably not for good. Meanwhile, The Eye is set on hunting Sophie down, and they’re using Archer to do it. But it’s not like she has feelings for him anymore. Does she?
I surprisingly ended up liking Hex Hall a lot, and after the cliffhanger-ish ending I'm dying to read Demonglass!

Well, you sure ended this posting with a little teaser question didn't you! LOL. This book really does sound interesting! I'm wondering what would it take for someone to be willing to relinquish their individual strengths (things that make them feel powerful). I imagine a lot of people would become so self absorbed with their "gifts" they would not make the decision to give such up.
I won an ARC of Demonglass and I've already read it... IT. IS. AWESOME!
I totally want to read this. Am a new follower.

Cliffhangers kill me! Great pick, I really enjoyed this one.
I enjoyed reading this one too. I like the covers! I have the book with the other cover, so I'm wondering how the UK one will look. ;) Great pick!
I haven't read either, but I need to. I've heard great things about them. The premise of Demon Glass sounds wicked cool.
I'm really looking forward to this one too! :D
