January Movie Madness

1. Grown Ups (2010)

After their high school basketball coach passes away, five good friends and former teammates reunite for a Fourth of July holiday weekend.

Actors: Adam Sandler, Salma Hayek

Rating: 3.5 of 5

This movie was a lot of fun to watch! I loved how spending the weekend together as one happy family made everyone realize what's really important in life, and to prioritize it!

2. John Tucker Must Die (2006)

Three ex-girlfriends of a serial cheater set up their former lover to fall for the new girl in town so they can watch him get his heart broken.

Actors: Jesse Metcalfe, Brittany Snow Rating: 4 of 5

This is obviously not my first time watching this movie, more like the fifth... It is still very good though! High School romantic comedy at its best!

3. Wedding Daze (2006)

After losing the woman of his dreams, Anderson is convinced he'll never fall in love again. But at the urging of his best friend, he spontaneously proposes to a dissatisfied waitress named Katie and an innocent dare evolves into the kind of love that both have been looking for all along.

Actors: Isla Fisher, Jason Biggs

Rating: 2 of 5

Meh, a romantic comedy which is not very funny and not very romantic. I watched with one eye only.

4. Step Up 3D (2010)

A tight-knit group of New York City street dancers, including Luke and Natalie, team up with NYU freshman Moose, and find themselves pitted against the world's best hip hop dancers in a high-stakes showdown that will change their lives forever.

Actors: Rick Malambri, Sharni Vinson, Alyson Stoner

Rating: 3 of 5

Far from as good as the first Step Up movie, but the dance scenes are cool as always! And I can imagine them being wicked cool if you watch them in 3D.

5. Salt (2010)

A CIA agent goes on the run after a defector accuses her of being a Russian spy.

Actors: Angelina Jolie, Liev Schreiber

Rating: 4 of 5

I'm not a big Jolie fan, so I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked this movie!

6. The Tourist (2010)

Frank is an American tourist visiting Italy to mend his broken heart. Elise is an extraordinary woman who deliberately crosses his path.

Actors: Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie

Rating: 4.5 of 5

My second Jolie movie this month! I really liked The Tourist, it was smart and fun! Plus, Johnny Depp is always good.

7. The Wedding Date (2005)

Single-girl anxiety causes Kat Ellis to hire a male escort to pose as her boyfriend at her sister's wedding. Her plan, an attempt to dupe her ex-fiancé, who dumped her a couple years prior, proves to be her undoing.

Actors: Debra Messing, Dermot Mulroney, Amy Adams

Rating: 2.5 of 5

You all know how this movie is going to end, right? Predictable. On the plus side: Amy Adams and Debra Messing could really be sisters, they look very much alike!

Watched Movies: 7 (5 for the first time)

Best Movie: The Tourist & Salt

Worst Movie: Wedding Daze
