Review: Never Bite A Boy On the First Date

Title: Never Bite A Boy On the First Date
Author: Tamara Summers
Published: September 2009
  1. I've got a few issues:
  2. I'm a vampire now.
  3. One of my classmates was found dead, with telltale fang marks.
  4. I didn't do it! (really!)
  5. Nobody believes me, so . . .
  6. I'm going to have to find the real killer. I've already got three suspects. (three very cute suspects.)
  7. One more problem: I am seriously falling for one of them . . . but what if he's the killer?
Newly turned vampire Kira has earned a reputation for breaking the rules. So when a student is murdered at her high school, via fang-bite, all fingers point to Kira. But she swears she had nothing to do with it! In order to prove her innocence she has to show her family that there’s another vampire in town. She’s pretty sure it’s one of three new guys who’ve moved in recently—so she goes about dating them all. Dating three cute boys may be fun, but which one is the murdering vampire? And what if he’s the boy she’s falling for...?

Never Bite a Boy on The First Date is a fast and cute read. There is not much depth in the book and the characters are poorly developed. Sometimes I felt like the author, Tamara Summers, tried too much to to make the main character, Kira, sound like a teenager. Exaggerated sentences like "My family thinks I did it, which is, like, totally unfair, by the way, because I so totally did not. " were common in the book.

The book did not contribute to anything new on the vampire aspect - but it's a great book if you're in the mood for a light and funny romance.

Don't think i want to read it. The sound of it is just totally ... blah.
I mean I like vampire stories, but there are so much now available that I think I am going to choose the high rated ones first.

Thanks for the great review!
