TV: Ultraviolet

Ultraviolet is an British Sci-Fi/Drama miniseries from 1998. Starring Jack Davenport (FlashForward, Pirates of the Caribbean), Susannah Harker, Idris Elba (The Wire) and Philip Quast. Starring in two episodes is also Stephen Moyer, know from his role as "Bill" in True Blood.



CJD. AIDS. Global warming. For the first time in history, mankind has the ability to destroy itself. So now vampires need to take control of their food source. Against this enemy, religion is no defence but folklore has some truth. Not wooden stakes but carbon bullets. Not garlic but the chemical allicin. Not simply daylight. Ultraviolet....



Ultraviolet revolves around a government-funded paramilitary police unit, which may have connections to the Roman Catholic Church fighting a secret war against a worldwide vampire conspiracy.
